a. LEVEL 100:  MORNING AND EVENING SESSIONS

I.     West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination
(WASSCE)

Applicants with a minimum grade of C6 or better in three (3) core subjects, i.e. English Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science and three (3) elective subjects namely Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Elective Mathematics will be admitted to level 100 of the BTech Medical Laboratory Science Programme.

II.     Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE)

Applicants with a minimum grade of D or better in three (3) core subjects i.e. English Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science and three (3) elective subjects namely Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Elective Mathematics, will be admitted to Level 100 of the BTech Medical Laboratory Science Programme.

III.     General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level

Applicants with passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better) in addition to having credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects including English, Mathematics and a Science subject will be admitted to level 100 of the
BTech Medical Laboratory Science Programme.

b.   ADMISSION TO LEVEL 200: EVENING SESSION 

        
I.    Higher National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology – Accra Technical University Courses & Admission Requirements

Applicants with the 3-year Higher National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology (HND SLT) at least Second Class Lower from a recognised institution may be considered for admission to level 200 (Evening Session) of the BTech Medical Laboratory Science Programme after passing an interview.

c. ADMISSION TO LEVEL 300: WEEKEND SESSION

I.  Bachelor of Technology Science Laboratory Technology

Applicants with a Bachelor of Technology, Science Laboratory Technology with at least Second Class Lower from the Accra Technical University and other recognised institutions with working experience in the health sector, may be considered for admission to level 300 of the BTech Medical Laboratory Science programme after passing an interview and bridging course examination.

II.    Bachelor of Science Qualifications

Applicants with a 4-year Bachelor of Science in either Biological Science, Biochemistry, Applied Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Human Biology, Laboratory Technology or other life sciences qualification at least Second Class Lower from a recognised institution with working experience in the health sector, may be considered for admission to level 300 of the BTech Medical Laboratory Science programme after passing an interview and bridging course examination. III.  Bachelor of Technology Science Laboratory Technology (Clinical Biochemistry   Option)
Applicants with a Bachelor of Technology in Science Laboratory Technology (Clinical Biochemistry Option) from Accra Technical University and other recognised institutions, with a minimum of 2 years of working experience in the health sector, may be considered for admission to level 300 of the BTech. The Medical Laboratory Science programme is offered after passing an interview and a bridging course examination. IV.  Higher National Diploma / Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology

Applicants with a 3-year Higher National Diploma or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) with at least Second Class Lower from a recognised institution accredited by the Allied Health Professions Council with working experience in the health sector,

        7. BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY IN CYBER SECURITY (4–YEAR DEGREE)

I.     West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)

Applicants with a minimum grade of C6 or better in three (3) core subjects, i.e. English Language, Core Mathematics, and Integrated Science, in addition to three (3) elective subjects, namely Elective Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. For non-science students, Grade C6 or better in elective mathematics is required.

Applicants with a minimum grade of D or better in three (3) core subjects, i.e. English Language, Core Mathematics, and Integrated Science and a Grade of D or better in 3 elective subjects in General Science (Elective Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology). For non-science students, a Grade of D or better in elective mathematics is required.

III.  General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level

be grade D or better in the Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE) in

English Language, Mathematics and Science.

VI.  Diploma

A two-year Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognised higher institution.

8.    BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY IN APPLIED STATISTICS (4-YEAR DEGREE)

V.  HND holders in Public Relations will start from level 300; HND from other disciplines should have not less than a Second class lower to start from Level 200.

VI. Diploma in Public Relations Holders

I.     Applicants with a Diploma in Public Relations and a Diploma in Business Administration

IV. DBS Applicants

Applicants must have credit passes in DBS subjects and four (4) GCE ‘O’ Level / GBCE / SSSCE / WASSCE credits, including English Language and Mathematics.

V.   GHANA COMMERCIAL EXAMINATION (ABCE APPLICANTS)

Applicants must have three (3) credit passes in RSA III/ABCE. Two

Applicants with a Diploma in Computerised Accounting, Diploma in Banking Technology and Accounting and Diploma in Business Administration with a minimum of second-class
lower division will be admitted into Level 200. Applicants with other
relevant Diploma qualifications with a minimum of second-class lower division
will be admitted to Level 200.

11.  BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY IN LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT (4–YEAR DEGREE)

I.     West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)

Applicants with a minimum grade of C6 or better in three (3) core subjects, i.e. English
Language, Core Mathematics, and Integrated Science/Social Studies/Life Skills and at least three (3) Credit passes in any elective subject.

I.    West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)

Compulsory Subjects – Grade C6 or better in three (3) core subjects (English, Mathematics,

Integrated Science) and Grade C6 or better in 3 elective subjects in General Science (Elective Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry). For non-science students, Grade C6 or better in elective mathematics and/or elective ICT is required. 

II.   Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE)

Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE): Compulsory Subjects – Grade D or better in three (3) core subjects (English, Mathematics, Integrated Science) and Grade
D or better in 3 elective subjects in General Science (Elective Mathematics, Biology,
Physics and Chemistry). For non-science students, a Grade D or better in the Elective
Mathematics and/or elective ICT is required. 

III. General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level

Applicants must have Credit Passes (6) or better in at least five (5) Subjects (including
English Language, Core Mathematics and a Science Subject, and two (2) Passes
at the GCE Advanced Level. A pass in General Paper would be an advantage.  

IV. Higher National Diploma  

A Higher National Diploma (HND) certificate in a Science laboratory Technology, biological
engineering or Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunication Engineering, or
Computer Engineering with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division would be

15. BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY IN SECRETARYSHIP AND ADMINISTRATIVE PRACTICE (BSA)(4–YEAR DEGREE)

I.   WASSCE holders who have credits (A1-C6) in the following three (3) Core Subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science, plus credits (A1-C6) in Three Elective subjects with an Aggregate Score of 24 or better in any area of study. Accra Technical University Courses

II.  SSSCE Holders who have credits (A-D) in the following three (3) Core Subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science, plus credits (A-D) in Three Elective Subjects with an Aggregate Score of 24 or better in any area of study. 

III. GENERAL BUSINESS CERTIFICATE (GBCE) Holders who
possess credit passes in three compulsory subjects, including English Language
and passes in any three Elective Subjects will start at level 100. 

IV. ADVANCED LEVEL holders with credits in at least
Five (5) subjects at the GCE ‘O’ Level (or its equivalent), including English
Language and Mathematics, plus at least two passes in the relevant subjects at
the Advanced Level.

V. ADVANCED BUSINESS CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION
(ABCE) Holders with passes in three compulsory subjects plus three optional subjects will start at level 100.

VI. Certificate in Secretaryship and Management from the School of Ordnance and any other analogous institution – will start at level 200.

VII. Diploma in Business Administration, from the Commission for Technical and Vocational
Education and Training (CTVET) and Diploma in Secretarial Management or Public
Administration from Technical Universities and any other analogous institution
– will start at level 200.

VIII. Certificate from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) will start
at level 100.

IX. Diploma from the Chartered Education Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS- UK) and Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT- UK) – will start at level 100. 

X. Stage I of ACCA, ICA, Associate of Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB) – will start at level 100. 

XI. Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) with credits at WASSCE/SSSCE in three (3) Core Subjects and credits in three (3) Elective Subjects or Six (6) credits at GBCE or ABCE or GCE O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics.

XII. ADVANCED DIPLOMA in Secretaryship and Management from the School of Ordnance – Ghana Armed Forces, and any recognised institution will also start from level 300.

XIII. Higher National Diploma in Secretaryship and Management Certificate holders will start
at level 300. 

16. BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY IN 4-YEAR BTECH FACILITIES MANAGEMENT (4–YEAR DEGREE)

 I. SSSCE/WASSCE- Six (6) credits (A – C) and (A1 – C6) in all subjects, including English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science/Social Studies and at least three (3) of the subjects must be Credit or better.

 II. ORDINARY TECHNICIAN DIPLOMA- Six (6) passes in Ordinary Technician Diploma (OTD) courses.

 III. CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN COURSE (CTC II – OLD or CTC III – NEW) – Applicants should
be holders of CTC I with passes in all CTC II old scheme courses. Applicants should be holders of CTC I, CTC II with passes in all CTC III new scheme courses.

 IV. HND APPLICANTS-(HND) certificate in Building Technology with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division is eligible to join at level 300. Applicant must submit, along with the form, an HND certificate and a transcript.

17.  BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY IN CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT

I.      SSSCE/WASSCE- Six (6) credits (A – C) and (A1 – C6) in all subjects, including English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science/Social Studies and at least three (3) of the subjects must be Credit or better.

II.     ORDINARY TECHNICIAN DIPLOMA- Six (6) passes in Ordinary Technician Diploma (OTD) courses.

II.      CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN COURSE (CTC II – OLD or CTC III – NEW) – Applicants should
be holders of CTC I with passes in all CTC II old scheme courses. Applicants
should be holders of CTC I and CTC II with passes in all CTC III new scheme
courses.

III.    HND APPLICANTS-(HND) certificate in Building Technology with a minimum of
Second-Class Lower Division students are eligible to join at level 300. Applicant must
submit, along with the form, an HND certificate and a transcript.

IV.    MATURE APPLICANTS- must have attained the age of 25 years at the time of applying and must possess five (5) credits at the O’Level;  In addition, candidates must have shown interest in the area of construction with a
minimum of five (5) years of working experience.

18.  BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY IN FASHION DESIGN AND TEXTILES TECHNOLOGY (4–YEAR DEGREE)

I.      West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) Applicants

Applicants with a minimum grade of C6 or better in three (3) core
subjects, i.e. English Language, Core Mathematics, plus Integrated Science or

I.  West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)Admission 

Grade C6 or better in three (3) core subjects (English, Mathematics, Integrated Science) and Grade C6 or better in 3 elective subjects in General Science (Elective Mathematics, Physics 6 and Chemistry). For non-science students, Grade C6 or better in Elective Mathematics and/or elective ICT is required.

II. Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE)

Grade D or better in three (3) core subjects (English, Mathematics, Integrated Science) and Grade D or better in 3 elective subjects in General Science (Elective Mathematics,
Physics and Chemistry). For non-science students, a Grade D or better in elective
mathematics and/or elective ICT is required.

III. Diploma Holders

Applicants with a Higher National Diploma (HND) and a two-year Diploma in Informatics, Information Systems, Information Technology or any other relevant programme with a minimum
of Second-Class Lower Division would be eligible for admission to the third year (level 300) of the programme. Professional diploma holders (IPMC) are not eligible for admission. Other Diploma qualifications which are equivalent to HND or a two-year Diploma after assessment by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) will be considered for admission to the programme.

IV.   Technician Certificate Holders

A minimum of two (2) passes the Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE) in Information
Technology (WAEC) plus four (4) GBCE credit passes, including English Language,
Mathematics and Science.

22.  BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY IN COMPUTER SCIENCE (4–YEAR DEGREE)

I. West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)

Applicants with a minimum grade of C6 or better in three (3) core subjects, i.e. English Language, Core Mathematics, and Integrated Science, in addition to three (3) elective subjects, namely Elective Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. For non-science students, a Grade C6 or better in elective mathematics is required.

    II. Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE)

Applicants with a minimum grade of D or better in three (3) core subjects, i.e. English
Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science and Grade D or better in 3 elective subjects in General Science (Elective Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology). For non-science students, a Grade D or better in elective mathematics is required.

III. General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level

Applicants with passes in three (3) subjects, including Mathematics/Biology, Physics and Chemistry, at least one of the passes should be Grade D or better. In addition to having credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects, including English, Mathematics and a Science subject 

IV.  Technician Applicants

     Technician Applicants with CTC III certificate (old or new scheme);

V.   ABCE

A minimum of three (3) passes, one (1) of which should be grade D or better in the Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE) in Information Technology (WAEC) plus four (4) GBCE credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics and Science.

VI.  Diploma

A two-year Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognised
higher institution

Accounting.

II.  SSSCE Applicants

Applicants with a a minimum grade of D or better in three core subjects; namely, English Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies as well as any three elective subjects including at least one of the following: Physics, Chemistry, Elective Mathematics, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Applied Electricity, Technical Drawing, Economics, Geography, Accounting and Financial Accounting.

III.       GCE Applicants

Applicants with passes in three Advanced Level (A/L) subjects, including at least one of the following: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Geography or Accounting. A pass in
Mathematics will be an advantage, and at least one of the passes should be Grade D or better, in addition to having credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE ordinary level subjects, including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject.

25.  BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY IN RENEWABLE ENERGY TECHNOLOGY

I. West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) Applicants must have three (3) Credit passes (A1-C6) in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science, and three (3) Credit passes (A-C) in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Metal Work, and Auto Mechanics, Plumbing, Building Construction, Basic Electronics, Woodwork, and Block
Work and Technical Drawing.

II. Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE)

Applicants must have three (3) Credit passes (A-C) in English Language, Mathematics, and
Science, and three (3) Credit passes (A1-C6) in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Metal Work, Auto Mechanics, Plumbing, Building Construction, Basic Electronics, Woodwork, Block Work and Technical Drawing.

III. GENERAL CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION (GCE) ADVANCED LEVEL

Applicants with passes in three (3) subjects (at least one of the passes should be a Grade
D or better) in addition to having credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects, including English, Mathematics and a Science subject (for non-science students) and an Arts subject for Science students, will be admitted to level 100 of the B-Tech Renewable Energy Technology Programme

IV. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) APPLICANTS

Applicants with the 3-year Higher National Diploma in Mechanical, Automotive, and Electrical Engineering with a minimum of second-class lower division from a recognised institution may be considered for admission to level 300 of the B-Tech Renewable Energy Technology Programme after passing an interview.

26. BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY IN FOOD MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY 

I. WASSCE: applicants must have SIX (6) (A1- C6) in all subjects, including English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science, and must possess C6 in any three (3) elective subject areas such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture Science, Food and Nutrition, and Elective Mathematics.

II. SSSCE / WASSCE Applicants

Applicants must have SIX (6) Credit passes (A-C) in all subjects, including English Language, Core Mathematics and Core Science, and at least three (3) Credit passes in relevant elective subject areas such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture Science, Food and Nutrition,  and Elective Mathematics.

III. Technician Applicants

SLT Part One Certificate plus C6 in English Language, Core Mathematics
and Integrated Science.

IV. HND Applicants

HND applicants from a recognised institution with a Second Class Division in the
following Programmes: Food Technology, Food Processing, Food Production, Food
and Beverage, Food Science, and Nutrition, may be admitted to the Second Year
of the Programme with a minimum of a Second-Class Lower. 

HND applicants with HND HCIM or HND SLT will join in the second year after a 2-month bridging course. 

27. BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY IN DATA SCIENCE AND ANALYTICS

 I. SSSCE Applicants

Holders who have credit passes (A−D) in the following three (3) core subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science, plus credits (A−D) in three elective subjects with an aggregate score of 36 or better in the relevant area of study. 

II. WASSCE Applicants

Applicants with a minimum grade of C6 or better in three (3) core subjects, i.e., English language, Core Mathematics, and Integrated Science, in addition to three (3) elective subjects with an aggregate score of 36 or better in the relevant area of study.

 III. GCE Advanced Level Applicants

“O” and “A” Level Applicants with credits in at least five (5) subjects at the GCE ‘O’ Level (or its equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics, plus three (3) passes in the relevant subjects at the Advanced Level obtained in five (5) years and above. 

 IV. HND and Diploma Applicants

• HND applicants who have graduated with a good HND certificate(at least Second-class Lower Division) will be admitted to the third year (i.e. 5th Semester). 
• Other Diploma qualifications relevant to the programme may also be considered and admitted to the second year (i.e. 3rd Semester).  

V. Mature Applicants

• Applicants must be 25 years old at the time of application. 
• Show proof of age with a birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of birth date, which is at least five (5) years old at the time of application. 
• Show proof of age with a birth certificate 
• In addition, applicants must pass the mature entrance examinations to be conducted in English Language, Mathematics, and General Knowledge
• Evidence of working experience will be an added advantage 

VI. International Applicants 

Academic records of international applicants will be referred to the GTEC for the determination of qualification equivalence and eligibility for admission, as well as placement.
